Gave this to my brother-in-law, who needs nothing. He does spend a lot of time at his desk, so this thing is perfect for him to fiddle with and he really like it!

I'm always looking for desktop gadgets to fiddle with. I got the black one and really enjoy it. It's quiet, spins smoothly, and I find the spiral effect relaxing. It spins like an alien ghost dancing into the walls of an ancient castle--quiet, you cannot hear it spinning.

Love this - it's so cozy and calming. Love the colors

So far I've tried the black one, the blue one, and the silver one.
Here's an idea I had and it works well... you can balance the sphere on a couple fingertips and spin it. It looks MESMERIZING on the tips of my fingers.

I ordered this for my office desk for people to play with while we are talking. It has become quite popular.

It's a bit mesmerizing to watch. If you love someone who has fidget fingers, this is a good gift for them.

My son ordered this for himself; he doesn't really need anything, or want 'things', but contrarily he loves cool stuff. This is a great gift for those awkward boy years when they aren't into Legos any longer and love gaming- and you want to give a gift that is NOT a gift card, but something tangible!

I looked forward to getting this for my work-from-home office where I spend lots of time on the phone or computer. It is what it is.. a diversion from whatever mundane thing you may be doing (talking to customers, etc.).
It's a fun gadget and well-constructed. A dollop of weighty metal, larger than a golf ball, with a spiral etched into it. Underneath is a flat base on which the bearing and ball attach. Lay it on your desk. The direction of your spin determines if the spiral etch scrolls upwards or downwards. So far I've been able to get about a minute of spin without much effort. I like it best during the last 20 seconds where it spins more slowly, where the spiral also moves more slowly.
Spinning ball is nearly silent, you can hear some bearing action, and it's 99% smooth spinning with just the slightest hint of roughness. Perhaps that will smooth out further with use, as it does with my trackball mice.

This product dits on my desk at work and not only is it fun to play with, it is also very eye catching. So many of my co- workers come by to see it and spin it. I loved it so much I bought three and one for my husband. If you like interesting finds that make great conversation starters I definitely recommend this item.

Okay, I don't know much about visual illusion, decompression or fidget stress. But this little thing does work a certain trance-like magic on you and you probably won't even know it. You start spinning it and before you know it, you're just staring at it. It works a low key spell. You start focusing on this, next thing, you kind of forget what's going on. You just stare at this spinning ball and you're transported to well, nowhere really. But then the static that's going on in your life somehow disappears or at least goes away for a bit.
This arrived quickly and takes up hardly any space at all. Size wise, it's halfway between a ping pong ball and a small tangerine. This is a spherical version of the fidget spinner and while it costs a bit more than a spinner, it's nice gadget to take your mind off the every day mucky muck..

I love this thing! I play with it at work always. Good stress reliever.

Pretty cool thing to put on your desk.

Love it!!! So addicting and memorizing!

Everyone in the office loves it

This is great to fiddle with while I'm on hold for people at work. My mind always needs to be doing something and this is small enough and interesting enough to keep me occupied. It spins and the swirl is never ending. It's heavy enough to double as a paperweight.
Kevin
Works as described and looks amazing!

This is a simple little gizmo that doesn't do anything but twirl. It's small. It takes up horizontal space on your shelf or desk. BUT – it's absolutely addicting. You can tell when you take this out of the box that it's very well designed and quality machined. I love that it's not cheap plastic. It's about the size of a golf ball and has the same effect of spinning quarters but stays put – less effort on your part.
For me the price point is higher than I'd usually pay for a gadget but that doesn't mean it's not the perfect desk accessory for my fidgety friends. It's a contraption looking for a purpose. But that's OK.
gary
doesn't spins for very long . . . may be 1-2 minutes
Lindsey Hendricks
This fidget is very cool! Soothing and mesmerizing.

It's fun to use. Must have one. My cousin loves it!

Perfect for my fidgeter lol. My kids being home schooled and my kiddo fidgets due to his adhd this gives him something to help him refocus and take his five minutes. Definitely entertaining and the added bonus it is weighty enough to be a paperweight so dual purpose.

This is a simple way to take your mind off of things for a moment. You just spin it and watch it swirl and provides a distraction as you watch the lines move. Is a perfect desk decoration as well.
Janine
I love this thing! I play with it at work always. Good stress reliever.

This desk toy is really interesting. It is a bit smaller than I expected from the picture, but it matches what the product description says. It spins smoothly and is really quiet. It looks like the spiral design is lines moving down the surface of the ball. I can watch it for quite a while as it is so mesmerizing.
Christian
Love the weight and quality of this. When spinning, it does grab attention and it difficult for others to grasp when they first see it. The fit and quality is nice . For the price, 5 stars. Hightly recommended.

My son wanted this for his desk and it is a really cool little piece! The one thing that was unexpected was that it makes a slight hum, but overall, very cool....this generation's pendulum wave toy.
Robert
Very relaxing, and pretty to look at
Derrick
This is a really pretty piece. The ball bearing or whatever is inside to keep it spinning is smooth and practically silent. It's also very low friction, so the ball continues to spin for a long time. The ball itself is heavy and feels very substantial. Mine has a swirl spiralling down the side. It's a bit hypnotic. I took it to my office, and everyone wanted to give it a try. If you're looking for something to start a conversation or just help you zone out for a moment, give this a try.

My wife didn't much care for the spinners you hold because she can't work while it's spinning, but she likes this one. Spin it one way and the stripe moves up; the other way and the stripe moves down. She likes to make the stripes go up when someone has a good idea, and go down when someone goofs up.
PATOLA
It's a simple looking thing, that has a nice weighted feel to it. I took this out of the package and immediately knew my son would enjoy it as he likes these kinds of things.
